The Friends of the City Varieties was formed in 1988 to assist the management of this world-famous venue in safeguarding its future and is a registered charity.

The Friends are currently operating a charity shop at 28 Eastgate, Leeds, to help raise money towards the City Varieties refurbishment. Shop hours are 10am - 5pm (Tues - Sat) and donations are welcome during opening hours. If you are able to offer your time to help run the shop, please call in to leave us your contact details - volunteers do not need to be members of The Friends.

During our refurbishment, the Friends will continue with fundraising endeavours and will receive exclusive updates on the project as well as advance notification of and priority booking for the re-opening season in 2011.

Standard Adult Membership is just £12
Concessionary Membership is just £8

(available to Senior Citizens, Under 16s, Students and Unemployed)

Single Life Membership is £150

Joint Life Membership is £250
